This is a well structured wine, very dense with crisp tannis. Still developing. Displays aromas of berries and vanilla. Recommended for lamb dishes.

Ribera del Duero means Riverside of the Duero. This valley, deep in the land with extreme microclimatic condition was served for wine making for Benedictine monks in the 12th century. The region awarded the Origin Denomination in 1982, and the "new" wine zone soon challanged Rioja. Mostly is grown Tempranillo, what is called there "Tinto Fino", "Tinta del Pais".
The Dominio del Basconcillos is a family run business dedicated to "respecting mother earth", using natural products and manual work.
