ABOUT VENDEMIA WINES

VENDEMIA -which is the Latin word for harvest- is a small company run by Urs (Swiss) and Helen (Irish) Tobler which imports and distributes European organic wines in Ireland.

While living in Switzerland we were attracted by the amount and quality of organic wines available there and since 2002, when we moved to Ireland, we have been steadily increasing our range. Today we have over 100 different kind of wine. We visit as many producers as possible in their vineyards and only source wine which meets our standards for quality and drinking pleasure.

Our wines come to you directly from dedicated producers in France, Italy, Spain and Switzerland. These are wines to please all those who are looking for alternatives to industrially produced wines. Our selection is growing steadily and more and more people are beginning to realise that not only should you eat healthily, you should also drink healthily!

By the way, all of our wine producers have gone to the trouble and expense of having their vineyards and wines certified organic, or biodynamic, by an officially recognised body. It is not just enough for them, or us, to claim that they grow and produce organically. They want to establish their credentials fully so that you, the consumer, are assured that you are buying what you believe you are.
